Mary Lennox, a sickly girl raised in a selfish and loveless environment in India, loses her family to a sudden cholera outbreak.
Left completely alone, Mary is sent to live with her wealthy but hunchbacked and reclusive uncle, Mr. Craven, at Misselthwaite Manor in England.
