Mowgli, a human child raised by wolves and schooled in the Laws of the Jungle, must confront threats from his relentless enemy, the tiger Shere Khan.
To save the aging pack leader Akela and prove his worth, he seizes the fire, known to humans as the "Red Flower" and drives Shere Khan out of the jungle.
Forced to leave the pack, Mowgli continues to learn the Law of the Jungle and the rules of the wild with the help of his friends: Baloo the bear, Bagheera the panther, and Kaa the python.
After surviving various perils, Mowgli leaves the jungle to settle in a human village, where he is adopted by a woman named Messua and learns human language and customs.
Tasked with herding the village cattle, Mowgli sets a trap for Shere Khan with the help of his loyal wolf companion, Grey Brother, and Akela.
Using the cattle herd to corner and destroy the tiger in the valley, Mowgli spreads its hide upon Council Rock and continues his life on his own terms.
